R&D Innovations
Who We Are
Mission
To enhance educator excellence by empowering their classrooms with
evidence based practices, and ultimately foster postive academic, behavioral, and social success for students.
Our Approach
We focus on helping educators develop concrete, easy-to-use, empirically guided teaching strategies through targeted individualized professional development plans and actionable data from the CSAS.

R&D Innovations provides products and services related to the CSAS, a multi-method observation system designed to help educators implement evidence based instruction and classroom behavior management practices that foster positive academic, behavioral, and social success for students. Our goal is to help all educators develop their knowledge, skills, and competencies in the classroom by focusing on the development of concrete, easy-to-use, empirically guided teaching strategies that have been linked to student success across decades of effective instruction research. Educators can use the CSAS to gather actionable data about how evidence-based practices are being used in their classrooms, and to develop targeted individualized professional development plans for guiding and supporting professional growth. Whether you are a teacher, school leader, instructional coach, pre-service trainer, or researcher, our products and services can help you improve classroom instruction and management, and ultimately enhance the quality of education for the students and educators you serve.
Company
R & D Innovations is an educational consulting, assessment, and technology firm whose mission is to enhance educator excellence by empowering their classrooms with evidence based practices.
Officially founded in 2016 by a pair of education researchers, R & D Innovations has provided educational consulting, assessment, and technology services around the evidence based practices of the CSAS for the past 10 years. With roots in modern test development and psychometric theory, we have grown from a humble pilot test of the CSAS to a comprehensive multi-method and multi-dimensional online platform - that includes observation, visual performance feedback, individualized coaching, professional development - and is highly capable and efficacious for supporting educators' development of evidence based practices. Our initial development of the CSAS was funded through a prestigious award from the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences (#R305A080337) and further expanded by the Office of Innovation and Improvement's Teacher Incentive Fund program (#S374A120060). Throughout our history, we have provided customized and tailored service with the CSAS to individual educators, whole schools, districts, colleges and universities, as well as research teams seeking to measure, evaluate, support, and grow evidence based practice in classrooms.
